Heading Stateside

Hi Folks

I'm heading to the United States this coming weekend, and will be based in North Carolina not far from the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway [link]

Combined with a trip to North Wales on my return, I am doubtful of being around much this month!

Travel advice welcome - especially for any bugs and critters to be aware of. This is a big trip for me, only having been to France, Germany and Czech Republic outside of the UK before.

I will be staying with locals, but being a little informed in advance is most welcome.

No doubt many photo opportunities to come :D

Enjoy your trip... if you ever feel like going up north or the U.S. hence right in Québec, let me know! I'm going to greet you! I don't have a job at the moment so I have all the time in the world! ;-)

And, if you ever go to the U.S state right above North Carolina, which is Virginia, make sure to visit the ARE (Association, Research and Enlightement) a centre built for Edgar Cayce, one of the most famous psychic in the world... who has cured many people in his hospital with information he was getting by transmission. It's quite zen there and loads of special information in its library. They have free lectures there by people that are connected with subtle energies.

Well I can say as well that the whole area was very pretty. It's a shame you go during this time as during the summer you could have had fun in the sea. Anyway, Enjoy! :)

Thankyou Geneviève - sounds a very tempting offer ;)

It probably won't be my last visit to The States as I have a wonderful girlfriend there who is always hungry for lots of fun of different sorts, ancient sites, metaphysics and mystical places.

I'm sure we could all hitch up together sometime - there's a lot we have in common, you know.

Cheers ;)

Tim

My pleasure! Then it's not you who is going to have to go to the States but her who is going to have to go to the U.K. as there are far more subsisting ancient and megalithic sites their than in the U.S.

Well I'd better let you prepare your suitcases now.

Well, I met her in 2006 when I was guide for her party from Stonehenge to Orkney; she's been posted over here for a few months and I took her to a few more places. She went home last week - but seeing as we can't get enough of each other we've arranged a trip out for me to see her neighbourhood :)

Yes I'm on facebook, but I'll send it to you in a Note.

I removed my whole name from here because I started to receive more junk mail. It's weird because it is google that is meant to keep the connection between our name and address.

On there you will see some photos I scanned from trips to England, Scotland, Wales and Cornwall... that was from 1999 til 2001 in the average but have posted a few pics of a trip to Cambridge and London in 2003.

Ok I see you are putting your pyjamas into your suitcase so I don't want to interupt you any further. ;-)
