In the States...

Mon Apr 13, 2009, 2:47 PM
  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: Crackling Fire
  • Watching: Sex and the City - The Movie (not typically me!)
  • Drinking: Coca Cola
Now perched in a beautiful home of my dear friend in North Carolina.

Just about recovering from jetlag. Nothing quite prepared me for how it can feel - absolutely weird or what. Strange and frightening at times.

Hopefully get around to some sightseeing soon - have mainly been visiting friends and family thus far. Tomorrow I should be over the tiredness and then can get on with my my time here seeing places with my friend.

Have started to upload some photos from my time here so far... more to follow. :)

Hi the Traveller!

You say : Strange and frightening at times.

I would never have thought that there would be weirder and more frightning places in the U.S. than in Britain! :D

Well I hope you won't put watermarks on all the wonderful photos and sceneries you are going to upload here because it is a bit of a turn off for me to admire them fully!

So you have some family in the U.S. or maybe I didn't get it and it's your girlfriend's family you were visiting.

You were by a crakling fire...hmmm! that sounds pleasant. Was it in a house or by a camp fire outside... because it is still quite cold... maybe not in North Carolina! ;-) It might include the word "NORTH" with Carolina but it's meant to be warmer than here... which doesn't include the word North!

Well I hope you both have fun!

xx

Hi Genevieve

The jetlag is strange and frightening ;

Watermarks - just wary of my images beig harvested and use for others' profit or benefit.

Family - yup they're all my girlfriends.

Weather - past two days have been wet, but from tomorrow on for four days BLUE SKY is forecast :D Heading to the mountains then.

We're already having an awful lot of fun ;)

Oh right! I understand about your freight to have your images harvested but I think it's a bit of a shame because it spoils all the magic out of them. I wouldn't use them as desktop backgrounds nor would I feel like enjoying their full views anymore.

Here the sun has kicked in strong since yesterday. I had taken a lot of photos of barns and old houses when it was a cloudy afternoon... so I might have to get up early to catch the nice sun, take by bicycle and redo it again in the nice light. I hope you are going to find nice sceneries and special places in your journey to the mountains. :-)
